How long does vehicle shipping take?

Transit time depends on the distant, route and weather conditions.
- Vehicles shipped within 300 miles normally picked up and delivered on the same day.
- For distances between 400 and 700 miles, expect delivery within 2 to 4 days.
- Shipments from New York to Miami (approximately 1,300 miles) will take 5 to 7 days.
- Cross-country shipments, such as from Atlanta to Los Angeles, typically will take between 7 to 14 days.

What’s the difference between open and enclosed transport?

Open transport is the most common and more affordable shipping method.
Enclosed transport offers extra protection but costs more. Many people with luxury, classic and exotic cars will ship their cars in an enclosed trailer.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?

Absolutely! Your vehicle will be fully insured during the entire shipping process. Every car hauler or auto transporter is required by federal law, under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, to carry cargo insurance that covers the shipping of your vehicle. Although all of our auto shippers provide us with proof of an active insurance policy, we take the extra step to verify that the insurance is still in effect before assigning a driver to pick up your vehicle.

Do I need to be present for pickup and delivery?

Yes, either you or a designated representative must be present to inspect and sign off on the vehicle’s condition form. However, if you are a regular customer who frequently ships vehicles with us, we can waive your presence and provide a video as proof of the vehicle's condition before it is loaded onto the trailer.

How do I prepare my car for shipping?

- Plan ahead to give the driver enough time to pick up your vehicle, unless it’s an emergency auto shipment that requires immediate pickup.
- Remove personal items from the vehicle unless you have received authorization to leave them during the booking process.
- Ensure that the gas tank is approximately ¼ full, if possible.
- Disable any additional alarms and make sure to provide the keys.
- Check for any mechanical issues to ensure that the vehicle starts and runs properly.
- If the vehicle is inoperable, please notify the shipping agent at the time of booking.
- When scheduling your vehicle for pickup, specify whether you prefer an enclosed or open trailer.

Can I ship a non-running vehicle?

Yes, we ship all types of vehicles, whether they are running or not. When booking with the shipping agent, please inform us if your vehicle is operable or inoperable. This information allows us to send the appropriate auto transporter that is equipped to load and unload your vehicle safely.

What should I do if my car is damaged during transport?

When your vehicle arrives, you and the auto carrier driver will conduct a thorough inspection to ensure that it is in the same condition as when it was shipped. If you notice any damages to your vehicle, you must document them on the delivery form. Both you and the driver need to sign this form, ensuring that any noted damage is accurately recorded. Please notify the shipping agent immediately at 866-499-2050.

Can I put personal belongings in my vehicle?

We prohibit or limit personal items in the vehicle due to weight restrictions and liability concerns. If you need to put personal items in your car or truck, please tell the shipping agent during the time you book your vehicle to be picked up. Must be authorized and cleared during your booking. and before the driver arrivers. Call us to discuss the options if you decide after you have scheduled your vehicle to be pick up. 866-499-2050.

How far in advance should I book my vehicle transport?

While we can work with some short notice requests, it's best to give as much advanced notice as possible. Throughout the auto shipping industry booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance is normal and is recommended for better pricing and availability, especially during peak seasons. For emergency vehicle shipment with a short notice, please let the shipping agent know during your booking.

When will I be required to pay for my auto shipping cost?

You won't need to make a full payment upfront. However, we will require a form of payment before your vehicle is shipped. The full payment will be due upon delivery, unless you have an established account with us and regularly ship vehicles. To set up an account complete the contact form. Contact Form.

Is there a fee to cancel my car shipping?

Auto shippers usually provide a pickup window of 1 to 3 days. If you cancel before your designated pickup window, there will be no cancellation fee. However, if you cancel during your scheduled pickup window, a cancellation fee will apply, which ranges from $55 to $150, depending on the distance your vehicle was intended to be shipped.

Will I be able to track my vehicle while it's in transit?

Yes, you can track your vehicle while it's in transit during shipping. We can also give you updates VIA text messages or emails if you prefer.
